Last month, Jessica Chia, Beauty Editor for Allure magazine, reached out to me on Instagram. She asked if she could interview me about my natural silver hair journey for the July 2018 issue. Being a woman who is open to the serendipity of life, I said, “YES!” We had an engaging conversation about my transition from relaxer to natural and the reasons why I embrace my natural silver as a lifestyle choice. It was great FUN!
Yesterday, the FREEDOM Issue was available on newsstands!
I purchased my copy today! Three different women, three beautiful natural hair stories. Turn to page 30 to read more about my natural hair journey. This is such a cool experience. I am embracing every moment!
I hope you are inspired by our stories! Enjoy In Her Own Words!

On our road trip to the Lavender Harvest Celebration we stopped at a Virginia rest stop with a LOVEwork installation! I love these pop up artworks. I always take a picture when I find one!

My daughters and I took a road trip to Hurdle Mills, NC on Saturday for the Sunshine Lavender Farm Lavender Harvest celebration! This has become our annual family tradition to kick off our summer fun!
